AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee has demanded an apology from TV personality Mandira Bedi, claiming a tattoo of a Sikh religious symbol "just below her neck" had hurt the Sikh community.
SGPC secretary Harbeant Singh claimed the tattoo had hurt the sentiments of the community.
"By tattooing a Sikh religious symbol on her back, Mandira Bedi has shown immense disrespect to the Sikh religion," he alleged.
Singh demanded Bedi come out with an unconditional apology, as the matter could "create restlessness among Sikh masses."
