Hockey player points gun at doctor in hospital

CHANDIGARH: International hockey player Kanwalpreet Singh on Monday created panic at a prestigious hospital here by taking out his pistol and pointing at a doctor.

Kanwalpreet had come to PGI to get his ailing daughter examined when he got into an argument with the doctor. Suddenly in a fit of anger, he aimed his licenced pistol at the doctor, police said.

However, the matter was later amicably settled between the two parties, police said, adding that the doctor did not make any formal complaint about the incident.

Police said no case had been made against Kanwalpreet, who is also an Inspector in Punjab Police.
