GURGAON: Fresh trouble seems to be brewing for cricketer Yuvraj Singh with a court here on Saturday issuing summons to him, his mother Shabnam Singh and seven others in connection with a brawl at a party last year.

Additional Sessions Judge Balbir Singh, who was deciding on a revision petition filed by complainant Neelam Mahajan Singh that challenged a lower court's order summoning only Yuvraj and his mother in the case, sought responses from all the nine accused in the case by April 30.

The court further allowed the plea in Neelam's petition that all sections of the IPC should be considered while proceeding in the case and modified the judicial magistrate's order to summon the accused only under a few penal provisions.

The judicial magistrate had on January nine summoned Yuvraj and his mother in connection with the alleged assault that occurred during the cricketer's birthday party last year but the seven other accused were excluded.

The petition was moved by Neelam, a journalist and mother of Yuvraj Siddhartha, who had alleged that they were assaulted by the cricketer and his relatives and friends.

Neelam further charged them with defaming the duo and making obscene gestures at them.

The incident allegedly occurred at Yuvraj's DLF flat in Gurgaon during his birthday party on December 13.
