UNITED NATIONS: The UN Security Council has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Delhi-Lahore Samjhauta Express and expressed satisfaction over leaders of India and Pakistan voicing their determination to go ahead with peace process despite such a despicable act.

Maintaining that no cause can justify use of terrorist violence, the 15-member Council last evening favoured to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestation and by all means available under the international law.

It also underlined the need for bringing the perpetrators to justice.

"The members of the Security Council condemn the terrorist bombing of the Delhi-Lahore Friendship Express carried out on February 19. They express their deepest sympathy to all injured and their condolences to the families of the victims," said Ambassador Peter Burian of Slovakia which holds this month's revolving presidency.
