NEW DELHI: Karandeep Singh Pandher, son of Moninder Singh Pandher, main accused in the Nithari serial killings case in Noida, on Monday moved a petition before the Supreme Court seeking shifting of its trial from Ghaziabad court to Delhi.
Besides expressing apprehension about his father's safety in view of attack by a mob when he was produced by the CBI before a Ghaziabad court, Karandeep said he was unable to get a lawyer of his choice to defend his father as the local bar has passed a resolution not to take up his case.
In a petition moved through advocate Sudhir Nandrajog, Karandeep said the atomosphere was not conducive for his father to get fair trial in Ghaziabad.
He also said he has not received any documents form the prosecution in Ghaziabad thereby disabling him from defending his father in the case.
Pandher, a businessman, along with his servant Surender Koli, has been accused of raping and killing children at his Noida residence.
