Seven policemen, including two officers, were killed in a landmine blast in Chhattisgarh's Bastar area on Tuesday.
RAIPUR: Seven policemen were killed on Tuesday in a landmine blast triggered by Maoists in Chhattisgarh's Bastar region, 350 km from here, police said.
"Among the killed were two officers and five constables," police sources said over the telephone from Bastar.
The incident occurred at Jharghati in Narayanpur police district when a police party was travelling on motorcycles, the sources said.
Additional forces have been sent to the spot, they said.
