MUMBAI: Two Kashmiri youth were arrested with firearms soon after they arrived here from Jammu on Wednesday, a senior police official said.

"Pradeep Koler alias Lucky (23) and Dilip Chauhan alias Kumar (19) from Chanlia village in Jammu district were arrested with a pistol and a country-made revolver soon after they arrived in Mumbai," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone III) Panjabrao Ugle said.

A police official from Nagpada police station said seven bullets were recovered from them.

Ugle said the youth had come to Mumbai to commit "property offences" like robbery and were arrested following an altercation with hotel owners in Mumbai Central over the price of accommodation.

"We got a tip-off due to the altercation and arrested them," he said.

Koler has a case of robbery registered against him in Patna, while Chauhan did not have a criminal record, Ugle said.
