Yup, men indulge in idle gossip and back-biting too!

In the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ men, rather then women, are emerging the true bitches. We talk to male celebs to find out about their bitchy nature and how they compare with women in this sphere.

MTV VJ Cyrus Sahukar says, “I feel men are as bitchy as women. Our bitching is very straight-forward and is devoid of complications. I bitch in front of the individual, but have gotten away with it as they brush it off thinking that I am joking. Between friends, we don’t bitch about trivial topics like clothes or hair, but maybe virility and the like. There is a difference in thought among men and women and that comes to the forefront in our bitching.”

TV actor Chetan Hansraj says, “Of course men are big on bitching, but it’s harmless and more of a time pass. It is very common in our acting and modelling fraternity. But women take it on to a serious level. Personally, I would bitch among friends about other friends or co-actors.

Quips actor Parmeet Sethi, “I guess men bitch only when they have time. Men talk of professional jealousies, weight issues, who is seeing whom and who is two timing whom. I did it years back, but am a changed person now and no longer judge people anymore. In fact, I have become boring.”

But there are actors who steer clear of bitching like Hiten Tejwani, who remarks, “No time for it and I’d rather leave it to the girls”, and Mannish Goel who says, “I don’t indulge in it or mingle with men who bitch.”

Rohit Roy expresses surprise at seeing Rahul Roy, Amit Saad, Deepak Tijori and Ravi Kissen (all friends) bitch in the show. “I have known them personally and their nature as revealed on the show is alien to me. They are not bitchy in real life. It must be the demands of the show and finally, it is about winning so one has to be negative of others to ensure that they are voted out. Among my friends, we do talk about a film, a performance or even an actor, but they are healthy discussions or debates. I am non-judgmental and strongly believe in ‘to each his own’ theory.”
