Security forces on Monday shot dead two Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militants in a gunbattle in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, defence sources said.

JAMMU: Security forces on Monday shot dead two Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militants in a gunbattle in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, defence sources said.
"The encounter took place while Army troops were conducting a search operation, based on a tip off, in the Ladlutha area of Banihal tehsil," they said.
Two AK -47 rifles, a large quantity of explosives and ammunition as well as two radio sets were recovered from the militants, the sources said.
One dead militant has been identified as Kasim Gujjar alais Badshah Khan.
