Maoist ultras blow up school in Jharkhand

LATEHAR: CPI(Maoist) activists blew up a school in this district of Jharkhand late Friday night, the third consecutive attack on the building this year.

Superintendent of Police Ravikant Dhan said, ''The naxalites had targetted the Herhanj primary school under Balumath police station area earlier on two occasions".

He said Friday night's attack has completely razed the remaining portion of the structure.

On November 23, a police team had visited the area and the ultras blew up the school the very next day, he said.

However, no one was injured in the incident.
