CHANDIGARH: The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday issued notices to the Centre, Union Health Ministry and BCCI on a petition opposing the appearance of three Indian cricketers in an advertisement for a liquor company.
The notices, issued by a Division Bench comprising Justice J S Kehar and Justice S D Anand, have to be replied to by December 4.
The public interest litigation, filed by local advocate H C Arora, argued that the appearance of Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhoni in an advertisement for a liquor company would have adverse influence on cricket fans.
