Indian ad agency to handle creative and media duties

MUMBAI: American air freight company FedEx has signed on Dentsu Marcom as its advertising agency.

It will be releasing an India-centric advertising campaign to create brand awareness.
An agreement was reached between FedEx and Dentsu about a month ago. Both creative and media duties are to be handled by Dentsu.

The campaign will see the light of day on October 6th. There will be a nation-wide print campaign to coincide with ICC Cricket Championship Trophy.

This is the first time FedEx has launched India-centric ads. Sources said the campaign will give an Indian touch to the brand to connect with domestic consumers, while retaining its international flair.

DNA Money had reported on July 8, quoting Jacques Creeten managing director, sales & marketing for India, Middle East and Africa, that FedEx would be looking at doing an India-specific campaign in the near future.

FedEx India is seeing double digit year-on-year growth, faster then India’s International air cargo market, which is growing at 12% according to Airports Council International( ACI) statistics.

The world air cargo market is growing 6%, according to International Air Transport Association (IATA).
