A bomb disposal squad with sniffer dogs was rushed to a public library at city's Narayanpeth area after an anonymous caller claimed that a bomb was planted there.

PUNE: A bomb disposal squad with sniffer dogs was rushed to a public library at city's Narayanpeth area on Tuesday morning after an anonymous caller claimed that a bomb was planted there, police said.
However, it turned out to be a hoax, they said.
"We received a call at 9.55 a.m. saying that there was a bomb at a public library located at Narayanpeth. A bomb disposal squad and a team of sniffer dogs was rushed to the site and a thorough search was carried out but no bomb was found", Police Commissioner D N Jadhav said.
He said that attempts were being made to create panic among the people and asked everyone to be alert.
