THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Faced with allegations of misbehaving with a woman passenger on flight, Kerala Public Works Minister P J Joseph this morning met Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan to explain his position on the issue.

According to sources, Joseph had told the Chief Minister that the allegation was part of a motivated campaign by his political detractors and he was confident of proving his
innocence.

The leaders of Joseph's party, Kerala Congress, are also meeting here to discuss the matter and formulate the party's stand.

The pro-Congress women and youth outfits on Monday demanded that the Government disclose the name of the "VIP" who had allegedly misbehaved with a woman while flying from Chennai to Kochi on August third, in which Jospeh was a passenger.

The Chief Minister had on Monday said the government did not receive any complaint in this regard, but would look into the matter if a relevant complaint was received.
