Madhuri, SRK in Chopra’s next?

If the buzz is to be believed, the ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ team might just return next year. Insider news goes that Yash Chopra will be putting together his next directorial venture with Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit in the lead roles in January.

Reportedly, the Denver-based actor had been signed up by the Yash Raj banner for two films, but in keeping with the ways of the production house, everyone has been sworn to secrecy.

It may be recalled that Dixit has been eager to stage a comeback to acting but she has maintained time and again that she would want to give her children (Ryan and Arin) the first priority. The actor, whose last big hit was ‘Devdas’ before she settled in the US with husband Dr Sriram Nene, was even offered a film by Shaji Karun, based on painter Raja Ravi Verma’s life, but she turned it down.

She was even committed to work in a film by Somnath Sen alongside Amitabh Bachchan but there has been no news of it since. Meanwhile, the Chopras are considering also Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji for another important role in the film, we have been told. Chopra last directed the cross-border romance, ‘Veer-Zaara’.
