Navi Mumbai police chief transferred

Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Vijay Kamble is among half a dozen officers of the rank of inspector general of police, and 16 superintendents of police transferred by Maharashtra Government on Saturday.

MUMBAI: Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Vijay Kamble is among half a dozen officers of the rank of inspector general of police, and 16 superintendents of police transferred by Maharashtra Government here on Saturday.
 
Kamble has been transferred to the Director General of Police's office to head the traffic department, while Joint Commissioner (Anti-Corruption Bureau), Ramrao Wagh will be the new Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner, sources said.
 
Thane Police Joint Commissioner RT Rathod has been transferred to the DGP's office as IGP (Administration) and he will be replaced by IGP (Admn) Madhu Shinde.
 
IGP (Nasik Range) Ankush Dhanvijay will be the new IGP (Legal Metereology) and he will be replaced by IGP P K Jain, who was under compulsory waiting for some months.
 
IGP Hemant Karkare, who returned to the home cadre after completing a stint in one of the central intelligence agencies, has been posted as joint police commissioner (Anti-Corruption Bureau).
 
Sixteen SPs were transferred and their postings are: LP Tike (State Human Rights Commission), PV Joshi (SID Mumbai), Abdur Rehman (SP, Yavatmal), FK Patil (SP, Nanded), SR Chavan (Highway Safety Patrol, Pune), RP Badnwant (DCP, Solapur), SK Kamalakar (Addl SP, Pune Railways), AR Shinde (DCP, Thane), HN Pawar (Addl SP, Akola), VN Jadhav (SP, Railways, Pune), SR Shelar (SP, Osmanabad), C H Stalinbabu (SP, Washim), Nikhil Gupta (SP, Buldan), Anil Kumbhare (DCP, Pune), VM Jadhav (DCP Mumbai) and HV Deshbhratar (DCP, Pune).
