NEW DELHI: Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh on Saturday said he expected a breakthrough in the Mumbai serial blasts case "as early as possible".
"As early as possible. If possible, even today. I mean, one cannot say," he told NDTV when asked about a possible breakthrough in the July 11 blasts which left nearly 200 dead and 700 injured.
Deshmukh visited Mahim railway station on the Western railway where a bomb blast took place on 7/11.
Deshmukh, accompanied by local MP Eknath Gaikwad, surveyed platform no. one and two of the station and also interacted with local people.
He assured stringent action against the culprits of the bomb blasts which claimed nearly 200 lives, according to an official release.
