AMRAVATI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Friday assured that he will personally consider the woes of the kin of the farmers who committed suicide in Vidarbha and provide succour to them before leaving for New Delhi.

The assurance of the Prime Minister came to the fore when he interacted with the relatives of farmers, who committed suicide, at Dhamangaon in Amravati district and Waifad in Wardha district in Vidarbha.

After meeting them and hearing their woes, he said, " Mai Aaya hun  to Kuch De ke jayunga," ( I have come here and something good will be given).

Singh arrived here at 10.05 am for two-day tour to Vidarbha and left for Dhamangaon to meet the farmers by helicopter and later to Waifad in Wardha district.

He also spent more than three hours in Bapu Kuti at Sewagram also in Wardha district.

"The ashram symbolises peace and non-violence, the two principles which Gandhiji propagated", he said after spending almost three hours at the ashram.
