Madison, Leo Burnett pick up metals, Indian tally reaches nine.
 
As results of categories are revealed, the Indian metal tally is on the rise. Madison Media have won two Bronze Media Lions in the media category. They won for P&G Whisper Choice and another for Cadbury’s chocolate.
 
Leo Burnett garnered a Silver Lion for Prerana NGO, Give the Baby Girl a Chance. Their work was a documentary shown on television as well as in clinics to spread against the act of female infanticide. It showed mothers that they didn’t have to opt for abortion as an option if the child was female, since there have been many successful women in different fields, ranging from Margaret Thatcher to Indira Gandhi.
 
In the Outdoor category, Ogilvy & Mather secured Gold for the Discovery Channel entry and Rediffusion for the Midland Bookshop Lord of the Rings work. In the same category Everest and Leo Burnett won Bronze for the Cancer Patient’s Aid Association and Dinodia Photo Library respectively.
 
The Indian nomination tally has risen to 59, with Tribal DDB’s entry in the Cyber Lions for their work on Times Jobs. With nine Lions under their belt, the Indian contingent seems to be making their presence felt at Cannes.
