If you thought you loved your partner enough, here’s the catch: prove it! And that’s exactly what some of our TV couples are busy trying to do. In MTV’s new show Ishq Deewane,  small-screen celebrities are put to task to prove their love and impress their partners.

Says Neelam, wife of actor Ronit Roy, “We are both equally romantic but this was one show I was quite keen to participate in. I wished to do something exciting to surprise Ronit.” Neelam, a Punjabi, decided to learn Bengali with the help of singer Babul Supriyo.

“I learnt a Bengali number sung by Manna De to impress Ronit. It was a difficult task because I had to concentrate on my diction,” she laughs. To create an authentic Bengali ambience, a bungalow was booked and Ronit’s entire family was invited. “He was absolutely floored when he heard me croon a Bengali song for him dressed in a typical Bengali attire,” reveals Neelam.

Actor Manav Gohil decided to learn sailing for wife Shweta. “I learnt sailing in three days to impress Shweta,” he admits. Manav adds,  “Candid emotions and the loving moments make the show special for me.”

The 12 episode show will also have couples Varun Badola and Rajeshwari, Rohit and Manasi Roy, Arjun Punj and Gurdip Kohli among others.
