Mahajan critical but stable: Hospital

Pramod Mahajan’s condition continued to be critical but stable, Hinduja Hospital Director (Administration) Anupam Verma said on Thursday.

Speaking to newspersons, Verma said the need for drugs to control Mahajan’s blood pressure was gradually coming down. Mahajan continued to remain on ventilator and dialysis in the intensive care unit (ICU), he added.

Family sources said Mahajan’s condition had shown an overall improvement. They said ionotropic medication being given to Mahajan was being reduced. Family sources claimed that Mahajan’s kidneys had not suffered any major damage as was being made out to be.

Meanwhile, the stream of high-profile visitors to the hospital continued. Actor Suresh Oberoi, public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, industrialist Rahul Bajaj, and MLA Hitendra Thakur were among those who visited Mahajan.
