Does my property fall under Red Zone? No clue!

Despite the map, citizens' queries about their properties remained unanswered.

Does my property fall under Red Zone? No clue!

The Pimpri Chinchwad New Town Development Authority (PCNTDA) office near Akurdi railway station saw a rush of people on Tuesday. People had queued up at the planning office to see the new Red Zone map and to clarify whether their properties are affected by it.
"
However, since the confusion over the markings, officials failed to provide details to the citizens. The planning officials are themselves confused over which plot will be affected.

Nearly five lakh people have settled down in the Pradhikaran area in the last 40 years. Several residents sold their plots to local builders and settled in their
native places.

However, with the new Red Zone map, there is doubt in the minds of the people regarding the future of their properties.

PCNTDA was formed in 1972 to provide affordable housings to industrial workers of Pimpri-Chinchwad. The villages of Bhosari, Chikhali, Moshi, Nigdi, Akurdi, Ravet and Chinchwad were also included in the PCNTDA. Neither did the planning authority clarify about the Red Zone border of the Dehu Cantonment Board (DCB), nor did the DCB object to the move then.

However, few months ago, DCB issued a notice to the PCNTDA that part of the developed areas falls under the radius of DCB.
