Prahlad Kakkar, the Grand Young Brand Guru, had this amazing tale on how he hoodwinked civic authorities after he registered his dhaba 'Papa Pancho'.

Non-Punjabis may not know this, but Pancho is an expletive which taken literally is quite offensive and yet is used as an idiom by the Punjabis in Delhi.
Speaking at the second edition of Secrets of Success for Small and Medium Business organised by India SME Forum, Kakkar had his audience in splits when he narrated his encounter with the babus.

So when the Bombay Municipal Corporation officials came to Kakkar asking him about the name, he claimed the dhaba-cum-restaurant was serving Punjabi-Mexican fusion and hence the name.
They asked him who was this Papa Pancho, and Kakkar told them he was a sardar based in Delhi and since it rhymed with Mexican Sancho, he thought it was apt.
They pointed at the parathas being served at the dhaba and asked him, "…but these are parathas?" The quick-witted Kakkar told them they weren't. "These are actually tortillas…this stuff that's cooking is actually beans," said Kakkar showing them rajma that was going to be served with chawal.

The civic officials were not done yet and Kakkar had saved his best for the last. The officials saw waiters dancing bhangda and quizzed Kakkar about them.

"Now what do you have to say about them?" they asked him. Not to be outdone, Kakkar told them they were nachos (his version of dancers). The civic officials were not entirely convinced, but still didn't say much and cleared the name as well as the registration for the now iconic dhaba-cum-restaurant that started as an office kitchen and evolved as a brand.
