University of Pune’s asst programmer, Sinhgad Mgmt Inst’s clerk arrested

Pune: Cracking down the MBA paper leak case, the Chaturshrungi police have arrested the assistant programmer of the University of Pune and the clerk of Sinhgad Institute of Management under the relevant sections of Indian Penal Code and also under the relevant sections of Maharashtra Prevention of Malpratice Act (university, board and other specified examination) Act.
The arrested persons have been identified as Amol Babar and Sanjay Navale. All eight questions from four sections of Management Information System (MIS) paper of MBA second semester were similar to the one that was leaked on WhatsApp. Prasad Waikar, a student of the Sinhgad Institute of Management, Vadgain Budruk campus noticed eight questions from the paper were similar. Arun Sawant, inspector in-charge of Chaturshrungi police station said,”Arrested person Babar is working as assistant programmer with UoP while Navale is a clerk with the Sinhgad Institute of Management.”
Sub-inspector A D Sable, who is investigating the case said, “For work purpose Navale used to visit UoP campus and that was how he came in contact with Babar. Later Navale claimed that he was perusing MBA and needed help. He asked him to provide with the question sets. Baber them mailed the examination papers to some of the official e-mail ids of the UoP. He went home and operated the officials mails from his house. He then capture the image of question paper on his mobile handset and sent that to Navale.”Sable added, “After the case was registered, we kept a watch on some of the UoP officials and the staffers of campus to whom the papers was circulated. On this we found arrested duo’s movement suspicious and we have zero down on them.”
