The second year students of Bachelor of Science (BSc) Electronics of Fergusson College were shocked to see the marks of Instrumentation subject missing in their marksheets. Some of the students also complained of internal test marks missing in the results that were declared at the college campus on Wednesday.

The college head clerk SK Bhosale confirmed of receiving over 150 complaints from not only BSc second year students about missing marks of paper 2- Instrumentation subject and internal tests in their marksheets, but also for a few paper 2 subjects of second year students of BSc mathematics and physics.

He said, “This time there are also complaints from some BSc second year students of their Permanent Registration Number (PRN) being wrong. All this has happened since the University of Pune (UoP) started online submission of examination forms from last year.”

Blaming UoP exam department, Fergusson College Controller of Examination VP Yeole said, “We have taken note of the mistake and will soon tell the University to do necessary correction. The matter will be resolved within a week. Only the BSc students of Fergusson College are facing the problem, as optional subject of Instrumentation is only provided at our college.”

UoP Controller of Examination Sampada Joshi said, “I can understand of mistakes in 2/3 marksheets, but I can’t believe it can happen with over 150 marksheets.

“The college is the verifying authority when the students are sitting for exams with their hall tickets. There is some communication gap between the college and the University.” Joshi assured of verifying the matter with the concerned college and give a clarification.
