Two youths rape minor for 2 days, held in Pune

Pune: Alertness of a local residents helped save a 16-year-old who was restrained in a room and raped repeatedly for two days.
The victim, who hails from Solapur, lodged a complaint with Bund Garden police on Monday against two youths. The duo has been identified as Aditya Anil Bhingare ( 19), a resident of Siddhartha Nagar on Tadiwala Road and his friend Ashish Sunil Mapare ( 29), a resident of D 6, Railway quarters in Alandi Mhatobachi.
The incident took place between Saturday and Sunday. They have been arrested under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act.
S B Nikam, inspector (Crime), said, "The had fought with her parents and had ran away from her house. She had planned to stay with her elder sister who stay near the railway quarters. She could not locate her residence and took the help of the suspects who promised to leave her at the mentioned address. They her to a dilapidated room near the railway quarters, and raped her."
He added, "Later, the duo took her to a Loni-Kalbor-based residential area and raped her again. The local residents found the duo's movement suspicious and alerted the police."
They were produced before the court of judicial magistrate (First class) and have been remanded in three days of police custody.
