The company, supplies paper bags to retailers, brands and restaurants, at nominal rates, like Rs 1.50 for bags capable of carrying load up to 1 kg and Rs 5 for bags which can carry around 15 kgs of load.

Although there are many other companies which make paper bags, Ecoad, being a social entrepreneurial venture has gone one step further by employing underprivileged women to assist in the manufacturing process. The bags provided by Ecoad are made of newspapers which can be reused for as long as three months and then recycled again.

With environmental-consciousness among people growing at a fast pace, more citizens are nowadays open to the idea of opting for paper bags. Moreover, the government enforced plastic ban has also resulted in the increase in sales of these bags. Ecoad also has volunteers from various colleges who spread awareness about the use of eco-friendly bags in places like Fergusson College Road and Magarpatta.
