Two underaged girls rescued from sex trade

An actress who had played a role of a CID officer in a prominent television serial  was allegedly found along with two underaged girls when the social security cell (SSC) of Pune police crime branch officials raided an apartment in Vadgaonsheri where  sex-trade was being carried out. Police have also arrested three male pimps from the apartment.

The arrested people have been identified as Tushar Ravindra Patil (21) of Mundhwa, Haridas Namdev Shere (26) from Jejuri and Prakash Raghoji Waghmare (27) of Parjana in Yavatmal district.

Acting on a tip-off, policemen led by senior police inspector Bhanupratap Barge raided the apartment in the fourth floor at Gloriosa society in Vadgaonsheri.
Inspector Barge said, “We raided the place at around 2 pm on Friday and rescued the girls and arrested the pimps.”

“The model told us in her statement that she is in touch with many prominent persons from the city for last couple of months,” he added.
