The state’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) will have to wait longer to get the polygraph report from Central Forensic Laboratory (CFL) in Mumbai in the Darshana Tongare murder case.
Sources in the CID said, “CFL has a large number of cases before it for investigation and would take a lot of time for preparing the polygraph report. We have been waiting for the past one and a half months for conducting the test on the suspects. We have zeroed down on six suspects in Tongare murder case. We obtained permission from a magisterial court on Tuesday for conducting scientific tests on them.”
21-year-old trainee IT engineer Darshana Tongare was found murdered adjacent to Shinde petrol pump in Bavdhan on July 30, 2010. She was stabbed by unidentified persons with a sharp weapon in a lane near her house.
