Finally, state government has woken up to the fact that inadequate employees in the education department is affecting the work. On Wednesday, the state issued orders assigning various directors who will work full time without any additional charge.
The primary education full-time charge has been given to Mahavir Mane who was the acting director till now with full charge of Maharashtra State Council of Examination. Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education chairman Sarjerao Jadhav, who had the additional charge of director of secondary education, has been relieved of the charge as board chairman. Jadhav will now be full-time director of secondary education.
GK Mhamane, who was the joint director (adult and continuing education) and had the additional charge of Balbharati, is now the new chairman of board and is relieved of other charges. Dilip Sahasrebuddhe will now be the new director at examination council, Nandan Nangare to be the director of Balchitravani and Chandramani Borkar will be the new chief at Balbharati. Mane said, “These transfers would certainly help us to focus on the given work. Earlier, we had to shuttle between one place to another for meetings.”
