Pune: The wait is over for more than 16 lakh students as the results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Exam, which was held in March, will be declared on Tuesday. Last year, the board had declared the results on June 7.
The results will be declared at 1pm. But students will have to wait a bit longer for their original mark sheets as those will be distributed across schools at 3pm on June 26. Students will be able to check their results online at www.maharesult.nic.in, www.maharashtraeducation.com and www.sscresults.mkcl.org and www.redif.com/exams. To get the result through SMS, BSNL users can send MHSSC (seat number) to 57766.
Krishnakumar Patil, secretary of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, had said that the tasks of processing the result is very big as there are over 16 lakh students who had appeared for the exam. He said that five to six experienced employees had retired from the board and the present team is young, and therefore, taking time in preparing the results as there should not be any errors in them.
"However, the results are ready and it will be declared online tomorrow," he said.
He added that those students who want to verify their marks, can fill up the related form and submit it before July 5.
"Students can also seek photocopy of the answer sheets following the online results. The last date to seek photocopy is July 7," he said.
Those students who want to go for class improvement scheme, they can appear for the October 2014 and March 2015 exams.
Students who want to go for revaluation of the marks, need to apply for photocopy of the answer sheet and later they can apply for the revaluation process.
The 16 lakh students are spread across nine divisions — Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amaravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan.
