Spotted a snake at your home? The deadly duo will help you

To keep animals, reptiles or growing bee hives at bay, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) will be starting 24x7 service for the citizens.

The civic body will appoint two skilled persons to help citizens round-the-clock to nab snakes or reptiles or other animals like monkey, cats sighted in the house premises or localities.
A proposal to approve Rs84,000 (for six months) to appoint two skilled persons on an honorarium basis was tabled by the PCMC recently.

PCMC veterinary department chief Dr Satish Gore said, “After witnessing monkey menace for almost two days in Bhosari, we have decided to the start the service.”

He added that the reptiles or animals will not be harmed if they are caught by experts. All that the citizens need to do under such circumstances is to call the civic body and the appointed persons will arrive at the spot to nab the animals. The number for the service will soon be announced by the officials.
