Pune: It seems that the Sir Parshuram College loves to be in news for some or the other reasons. Over 200 students who are living at the college hostel decided to vent out their anger over pathetic hostel facility after the college administration increased the hostel fees from Rs Rs 11800 to directly Rs 23700 for a year.

The situation aggravated after several students complained of illness due to unhygienic condition of hostel where students are forced to live in.
All these students from various classes of the college gathered in front of the main building and agitated against the college management.
The condition of the hostel is so inhuman that the walls have developed cracks, the the water is leaking through the toilets, due to water logging, mosquitos are breeding on and students complain of illness.
One of the students, Atul Sonawane said that there are several issues like broken window panes, absence of doors to the majority of the rooms, there are bed bugs in every room and every time , students have tried to take up the issue with authorities, they are simply turning deaf ear to the concerns and doing nothing.
He added that it is really difficult to stay in the hostel as the condition of the rooms is in shambles and the power supply is turning out to be dangerous as several times, students have experienced electric currents when they try and switch on the fans or lights. Vishal Pawar, another student from the hostel said that the treatment of rector of the hostel is not adequate and the staff of the hotel uses abusive language.
When contacted the college authorities, they were not reachable.
