Single-windows set up at 13 places in Pune District before elections

Pune: The district administration has started 13 single-window clearance offices in the four Lok Sabha constituencies of Pune, Maval, Shirur and Baramati. There are 21 assembly constituencies in Pune district while three assembly segments included in the Maval Lok Sabha seat are out of Pune district.
In Shirur constituency, the single windows have been set up at Shirur, Ambegaon, Junnar and Khed-Alandi while in Baramati segment, five single windows have been set up at Baramati, Indapur, Daund, Purandar and Bhor. Orders have also been issued to start a single window set-up at the assistant returning officer's office in Maval assembly segment.
Permissions for any kind of programme related to Lok Sabha election campaign would be given through these single window set-ups for the geographical area in that particular assembly segment. Public meetings, road shows, deploying vehicles with loud speakers for campaign in the constituency, temporary election campaign offices and licences for the vehicles roaming around in the assembly segment for campaign would be dealt with by these single windows.
Block development officers, representatives of municipal corporation and representatives of police inspector of the area would be available at the single window system so that necessary permissions could be given under one roof.
In Pune police commissionerate jurisdiction, the single window set ups have been started at three places including Alpabachat Bhavan, Sadhana Vidyalaya, Hadapsar and PCMC office.
