Satara lad tops Maharashtra Public Service Commission main exam

Pune region fares well, many students make the grade

As many as 191 candidates from Pune region successfully passed the state services main examination conducted by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission. The results were declared on Monday. Amit Shedage of Satara stood first in the examination.

Marakand Lanka and Amol Suryavanshi topped in the scheduled caste category and Shilpa Thuse in the nomadic tribes (NT) category. Dhananjay Koli topped in the other backward castes and Amarsing Patil in sports category from Pune region.

Sanjay Kharat from NT, Ishwarchandra Pawar and Abhijeet Raut from OBC category are among those who scored well.
Nearly 359 candidates from the state have passed this examination. Coaching class owners have showed satisfaction over the fact that the results were declared before this year’s MPSC examination to be held on May 18.

Pune division has fared well in the examination with candidates scoring good marks in 15 branches. Among the 42 candidates selected for the post of deputy district collector, 16 are from Pune region.

Among the 50 candidates selected for the post of superintendent of police /assistant police commissioner, 28 are from Pune region.
