Sarathi to guide citizens in Pimpri-Chinchwad

The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has launched ‘Sarathi’ - a system of assisting residents and tourists through helpline information - on Thursday.

Deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar inaugurated Sarathi on Thursday. A helpline facility, the basic function of Sarathi is to provide information about civic services to citizens and tourists. 

Municipal commissioner Shrikar Pardeshi and mayor Mohini Lande were also present at the event.

The helpline centre has been set up at the old general body meeting hall at the PCMC headquarters situated at Pimpri Chowk.

The helpline centre will function between 7 am and 10 pm. The helpline will provide information about civic departments, their functioning, civic services. Sarathi will help citizens in emergencies like a pipeline leakage or drainage. “Later we plan to make it available round the clock. However it shall not be a toll-free number,” added Pardeshi.
