Rape of 11 year old : Med reports by CSA confirms rape

School management offers re-admission to the victim; cops slap additional charges on accused

Pune: As the voices demanding justice for the 11-year-old Wanowrie school sexual abuse victim grow louder, the school officials visited the family urging the girl to return to school. Meanwhile, the medical reports have also confirmed that the girl was indeed raped.
On Wednesday, four male members of management along with some parent, approached the victim's house and interacted with the victim and her father.Speaking to dna, victim's father said, "Around 3.30 pm, four male members from management visited our house but none of her teachers or any female members from the school accompanied them. We narrated entire incident to them. They have assured us that stringent action will be taken against the persons involved in the crime and those who did noy pay any heed to their complaint. They are ready to give admission to my daughter and also promised free education. But we need some time to take any decision. We have asked them some time so that we can frame our demands in written and then will submit it to them. I just want justice to be given to my daughter." The victim's father along with other family members also visited the Office of Deputy Director (Education) and met Balashaheb Ovhal, assistant director of education.Speaking to dna, Ovhal said, "We have received a letter from parents which mentioned about the entire incident and negligence by the school authority. Immediately, by 4 pm we have formed a four-member committee which will be headed by Tukaram Supekar, PMC's Education Board chairman , two lady officials and one male member as demanded by the parents."He added, "We have collected all the media reports published in this regard. We will be taking the statements of teachers, victim, parents and school management officials."About the medical report, inspector in-charge of Wanowrie police station B N Kale said, "On Wednesday, we have received her medical report which confirms that the child was sexually abused and accordingly, we have invoked additional sections under Indian Penal Code and also under the relevant sections of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act. But, the arrested persons are not co-operating in investigation."11-year-old girl was allegedly sexually abused and raped by the school bus attendant Khalil Mohammad Pathan (29) and driver Qamaruddin Ghayasuddin Shaikh (52), both residents of Sayyadnagar. Both are in police custody and will be reproduced before the special judge on Thursday.
