A candle-light service was organised at the German Bakery on Friday to remember the ones who lost their lives in the blast that took place here on February 13, five years ago.
Even five years after the incident, Snehal Kharose, owner of German Bakery, talking to iamin said that the pain and shock that she went through at that moment is still the same. "I was informed right after the blast and I reached the bakery at 7.50 pm. I can never forget that time and the following days of investigation. I thought this place would never be the same again, but I am happy that people still consider it among one of the good restaurants in the city."
Kharose along with others lighted candles in memory of the lost souls followed by a one-minute silence and singing the national anthem. While a young artist, Rahul Deshmukh, enacted a 40-second act to spread the message of being an aware citizen, Anand Walunjkar working in Tech Mahindra said that he visits the service every year.
