Pune: Too much 'red' in Red Zone map

Wednesday, 27 February 2013 - 10:54am IST | Place: Pimpri-Chinchwad | Agency: dna

While Pimpri-Chinchwad New Town Development (PCNTDA) had developed area sector-wise, allotment in map has been made survey-wise leading to confusion.

After a wait that lasted for several months, the district collectorate officials published the Red Zone map of Dehu Cantonment Board (DCB) on Tuesday.

However, little has the map helped the citizens and officials as they found it difficult to identify plots in the map. The officials now say that it will take a fortnight more for clarifications on which properties are affected by the radius marked for defence establishments. According to the officials, the confusion has arisen since the map of Red Zone has been made based on the survey-wise details of the plots.

However, the Pradhikaran area was developed sector-wise by the Pimpri-Chinchwad New Town Development (PCNTDA).
