Pune: When it comes to creativity and talent, age is not something which turns out to be a hindrance. And who better than Pune’s BF Khilnani to prove it right. The 92-year-old, has gained accolades for writing fiction, poetry, painting, singing, composing music, collecting stamps and drawing caricatures. He won an award from Akhil Bharat Sindhi Boli Ain Sahit Sabha recently. “His contribution for the school is very good and he did a commendable job during his tenure,” said Alkani Jothika Malkani, current principal of Jai Hind High School.
A new chapter of his life began when he started writing books in Sindhi and English, poems and short stories. Being an excellent learner throughout his life he started learning Urdu at the age of 70. He then compiled a book of Urdu ghazals, called ‘Dabi Chingariyan’, which was released by thespian Dilip Kumar. Caricature drawing being one of his favourite hobbies, got him recognition at national level.
