Pune IB institute wins title of Pan-Asian model school

Pune: It is now another feather in the cap of city-based International Baccalaureate, Victorious Kidss Educares, as the school has been declared as ‘A Model School in Asia for Other to Emulates’ by IB Asia Pacific, which is responsible for authorising new schools, evaluating IB World Schools, providing professional development services in the schools and in sub-regional locations.

While speaking to dna, the head of school, Robbin Ghosh said that they feel really proud after receiving this award.

“On our last annual inspection in 2012 by the officials of Asia Pacific and its head of School Nigel Forbes, they reviewed the school methodology of teaching and professional commitment to the philosophy of Primary year Program (PYP),” he said.

He added that the uniqueness of the school is that the they have coupled both Western Approach and Indian Vedas and Upnishada in a such manner that students while learning the western science, known to the facts of Indian Ethos and Philosophy,” he said.
He said that while doing the assessment, the officials observed that school continue to support its teachers to gain appropriate teacher qualifications.
He further said that they have observed that the school gives careful considerations to its language programme and the way it is being facilitated.
