The scholarships can be used at any of the 8,500 institutions, in more than 130 countries, that accept TOEFL test scores.

Vice President and Chief Information Officer at ETS, Daniel Wakeman said, “Over the past four years, ETS has awarded US$240,000 to assist TOEFL test takers in India to further support their undergraduate or post-graduate courses. Through our scholarship programme, educational resources and learning activities, ETS continues to demonstrate our commitment to advance educational opportunities for Indian students.”

Nine of the winners will pursue undergraduate studies while 12 other winners will pursue postgraduate studies. Students were evaluated based on their English-communication skills, academic record, leadership skills and extra-curricular activities.
