Sonal Sagar Vaidya, chief embryologist with Ruby Hall IVF and Endoscopy Centre, Ruby Hall Clinic, has become the first Indian to pass Senior Track Clinical Embryologist examination conducted by European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (Eshre).

Vaidya said, “Eshre has given overseas students the opportunity to sit for the examination only two years back. As many as 60 students sat for this examination during the annual conference in London, this year.”

Vaidya said that she has undergone training in Insi, assisted laser hatching and polarisation microscopy in Germany. She studied at Maharashtra Mandal and Sir Parshurambhau College. She completed her M.Sc. from University of Pune and joined Ruby Hall Clinic in 2003.
