Pune based Lawyers die in road mishap near Shikrapur Phata , driver unhurt

Pune: Thirty-nine-year-old Nirad Khalani and his sister-in-law, Apeksha Vayekar (24) lost their lives near Shikrapur Phata on Ahmednagar Road on Friday after the car that they were travelling in banged into a road divider. 

The deceased, who were lawyers by profession, were on their way back to Pune after attending a client meeting case in Ahmednagar. They dropped the client on Nagar road before entering Shikarpur Phata.
As per police reports, as the car reached Shikrapur Phata, the driver lost control over his vehicle and banged it into a divider. The impact of the crash was very severe.
The deceased were rushed to a nearby hospital where they were declared brought dead. 
The driver of the car, however, suffered minor injuries and is being treated at the hospital. 
Kahalani, a resident of Omkar Garden at Sinhagad Road, had been practicing advocacy since 1995 and Vayekar was assisting him with his cases from the past two to three years, according to Advocate Bidkar, Khalani’s friend.
