Police form special team to investigate E-way robbery after family gets beaten up by robbers

Pune: A day after the Mali family was attacked and looted by highway robbers on Mumbai- Pune expressway, Pune rural superintendent of police Manojkumar Lohiya on Tuesday morning inspected the spot near Taje Village on Tuesday.
Speaking to dna, Lohiya said, "Five years ago, robbers used to target commuters regularly at the spot where the Mali family was targeted. After the incident, we have formed a team of 10 policemen who will focus on the detection of highway robberies and have scanned some 12 past criminals who were involved in similar crimes in the past. There are two gangs which we are focusing who use similar modus."
Vijay Jadhav inspector in-charge of Kamshet police station who is investigating the case said, "Victim Reshu and their 13-year-old daughter Vedika has given us a description of the robbers who attacked them. A team of ten policemen have been formed who will investigate the case."
