Property worth 30 crore rupees owned by the Osho ashram has allegedly been misappropriated by trustees of the ashram according to some of Osho's older followers, who have approached the High Court on this matter.

Osho ashram is located in Pune's Koregaon park. Yogesh Thakkar and Kishor Rawal have approached the High Court against trustees Mukesh Sarda, Michael O'Byrne, John Andrews and Darcy O'Byrne.

A part of Osho ashram's property was handed over to Zen Properties for construction of a guest house and a meditation hall. However, Osho International Foundation's main trustee Mukesh Sarda is also associated with Zen Properties.

Since Zen Properties did not have much experience in the construction field, it handed over the work of the development to some other private company. According to the agreement signed, this private company is supposed to get 27,000 square feet of the land, whereas Zen Properties is supposed to keep the remaining 1 lakh 23 thousand square feet.

In the meanwhile, Sarda changed the name of his company to Osho Multimedia. It is also alleged that the crores of rupees being collected at the ashram are diverted to Sarda's company instead of being directed to the Osho International Fund.

Those followers who have raised their voice against these alleged malpractices are allegedly not allowed entry into the ashram anymore.

The aahram's trustees refused to comment, saying the matter was sub judice.
