Now, solve civic issues in Pune with click of mouse

Pune: A city-based whiz kid, Shrikant Kunden, who is the director of IZON technologies, a software firm, has developed an exclusive portal, Boomlaa.com, where you can post your complaints/grievances regarding your area and they will be forwarded to the ward offices and departments in the PMC. 

Every corporator, ward officer and department officials will be provided login IDs of the portal to access the complaints and solve them at their level. The commissioner of the city too will have access to the portal. 
The portal will start functioning in the first week of the June as the talks on this between PMC, PCMC and the innovator firm is in the final stage. 
Speaking to dna, Kunden said the portal would initially cater to the citizens of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad corporations, but any civic authority in the country could make use of it. 
“The basic objective of creating such a portal was to set up a platform with the help of technology to solve and redress grievances regarding civic issues,” he said. 
Elaborating, he said in Aundh there is a water scarcity problem. So residents could log on to the website by creating their own account and post the issue. “The ward officer, who will have access to the portal, will be able to read any complaint concerning his ward,” said Kunden.
The portal interface has been kept simple. Kunden said they had been speaking to civic body officials and the commissioner and had got the go ahead from them, and soon the portal would be opened to the public.
