War of words over Maharashtra Sadan controversy, where Shiv Sena MPs forcibly fed chapati to a fasting Muslim staffer, isn't over yet. Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan was the latest to join the melee as he shifted the blame to Chhagan Bhujbal for the ire of Sena MPs.

Speaking to media persons after a training workshop at the Yashda, Chavan didn't name Bhujbal, but said there were lacunae in Maharashtra Sadan work and he had sought a report on the same. Chavan's veiled attack on Bhujbal came in the wake of the latter blaming the Chief Minister for not removing the Resident Commissioner Bipin Malik, who is at the center of the controversy.

Refusing to comment on Bhujbal's allegations, the Chief Minister said, "There are a lot of things which have remained incomplete in the work of Maharashtra Sadan and the contractor has not cooperated. Bhujbal had spoken to me over phone and the Commissioner in Delhi has said that the catering contractor has not kept his word. But all this, including incomplete work or lacunae in the work of Maharashtra Sadan and the incident of force feeding, are totally different from each other. I have sought report on incomplete work and I would sort out issues by sitting together with Bhujbal on these issues."
