Now, a barber molests 10 year old year after a haircut

Pune: Parents should be extremely cautious when they send their kids to the barber shops and ensure that they keep a hawk eye on them. A ten-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a barber in Nigdi on June 12. The incident took place when the girl went to Super Salon located in sector no. 22 in Vilasnagar in Ottascheme in Nigdi for a hair cut. Meanwhile, the suspect has been identified as Nazeer Magru Shaikh in connection with the incident.

Police Sub Inspector R J Dhere, who is the investigating officer in the case said,” The suspect initially gained her confidence and completed her hair cut. He later took her inside a room nad molested her. The victim was afraid to narrate what had happened and is under trauma since the day of the incident. It is only after her parents got to know about the incident that they mustered courage to lodge a complaint against the suspect,” she added.
There was another girl with the victim at the time of the incident, police said. They have booked Shaikh under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POSCO Act 2012) under sections 4,8,9 and investigations have been initiated.
