Pune: A Nigerian national Michael Oshawo alias Oscar (27) was killed after his fellow national George Olumnesha Moriz (34) pierced his chest with a broken wine bottle near Shalimar Park in Kondhwa Khurd on Monday.

According to the Kondhwa police, the murder took place in the presence of a group of between 8 to 12 Nigerians including some girls.
Kondhwa senior police inspector Pandharinath Mandhare said that the police came to know about the murder after an auto driver Aziz Mehmood Shah Khan informed the control room. Khan had ferried a Nigerian from Lullanagar Chowk to Shalimar Villa and on reaching the spot saw Michael being hit and later pierced with a broken wine bottle by George.
Khan in his complaint stated that he heard the words "George, don't beat Oscar more, he is hurt." At that time, George hit Oscar and pierced a wine bottle in his chest." Police inspector (crime ) S D Pachorkar said that the murder seems to be a fallout of a dispute between the duo during a party. "George has said that Oscar misbehaved with his girlfriend during a party. Angry over this, George seems to have murdered him. However, we are investigating other angles too," he added.
